1,460 hours, Sustainable Optimism, and Being The First Jackie Chan

sent by BRANDON TURP

Welcome to this week’s issue of 3 Minute Thursday.

I.

4 hours per day.

121 hours per month.

1,460 hours per year.

Want to take a guess what these numbers represent?

The amount of time the average person watches TV.

Assuming you reach the average U.S. life expectancy of 78, that’s about 15 years of your life.

Start thinking in terms of “lifetime” time.

It will change the way you think about your daily habits.

II.

With gratitude, optimism is sustainable.

If you can find something to be grateful for, which even if small you should be able to do, the mindset with which you approach your everyday life will morph into one of optimism.

Take time every morning to think of 5 things you are grateful for.

III.

And with that, I’m going to leave you with a quote,

“I never wanted to be the next Bruce Lee. I just wanted to be the first Jackie Chan.”Jackie Chan

Until next week,

Brandon Turp
